- The LRT system in SengKang will undergo a major upgrade. From the current 1 car train system to a 2-car train by 2016 thereby increasing its capacity from the current 105 to 204.

- Coney Island Park opens to public. Residents use the PCN from the sidegate to enter Coney Island Park from Punggol.
