Dual key ? what are they ?
Dual key is a new housing concept that has been making waves in the Singapore property market lately. So what exactly is it about? The idea first originated from Fraser Centrepoint Homes in 2009 when it introduced dual key units in its Caspian project. Dual key refers to the idea of having two homes sharing a common foyer in a single title. Dual key units are extremely versatile and can be sub divided into two separate apartments catering to different needs.

- Potential savings on Buyers Stamp Duties, Additional Buyer Stamp Duty (ABSD) and paying lesser maintenance fee

The studio apartment typically comprises of a bedroom, toilet and kitchen. The kitchen may sometimes be converted into a wardrobe to make space for clothing.

In the example above, the 3 BR unit comprises of a studio and a 2 BR unit. The studio unit has a balcony attached. Not all studio will come with a balcony attached.
